Sarah & Steve
I had an extra special start of the wedding season this year, photographing my cousins beautiful wedding. It was an exciting experience, being part of the day from behind the lens and celebrating along with the rest of the family.
Sarah and Steve tied the knot at Ocean View, a gorgeous venue overlooking the Gower, surrounded by their family and friends and of course their adorable fluffy companion, Percy.
I joined the girls getting ready at Sarah’s family home (my aunt and uncles place), where in-between sipping on orange juice and nibbling cheese and crackers, Sarah had begun having her makeup done by the lovely Nicola. Sarah’s bridesmaids, her childhood friends and sister, had chosen their own dresses to match the grey colour scheme. Sarah might just be the most chilled out bride (ever) leading up the big moment.
The ceremony was filled with both laughter and tears, surrounded by their family and friends; it was an intimate and special ceremony. Sarah looked absolutely STUNNING in her dress!! After the ceremony everyone made there way into the marquee, which was beautifully decorated with the large windows revealing that gorgeous view.
The Gower was a perfect backdrop for their first photos together as Mr and Mrs, (Percy joined in as well) and for the must have shots with their families. We couldn’t have timed the portraits outside any better, as soon as I took the final group shot, the heavens decided to open and there was a huge downpour. Luckily everyone made it inside without any soggy causalities and Sarah’s dress was still perfectly intact.
The speeches were emotional, meaningful and full of laughter. Delicious food followed the speeches, which led to Sarah and Steve’s first dance together as Mr and Mrs. It was a perfect day from start to finish, congratulations Mr and Mrs John!
