A Summer Wedding at London Venue, 100 Barrington

It was recently Louise and Joe’s first anniversary, so I thought it was about time I shared their wonderful wedding. I was with them from prep until dancing in the evening. Their ceremony and reception were held at 100-Barrington, a stunning venue in London, I was really looking forward to seeing the space, and it didn’t disappoint.

I  joined Louise and her bridesmaids (my lovely cousin being one of them), during their final moments of getting ready. Melinda was working her magic on Louise, who was already looking beautiful ahead of putting on her dress. There was a last-minute prosecco delivery for the girls, so I popped upstairs to get a few photos of her dress, (which the bridesmaids hadn’t seen yet). This made the dress reveal extra special - with plenty of tears. It wasn’t long before we were in taxi’s and on our way to the ceremony.

Once we all arrived at 100 Barrington, Louise’s dad was waiting to walk her down the aisle. It was a beautiful ceremony, with the backdrop decorated by the talented Jar and Fern, it really made for some beautiful photos. After they walked down the aisle as Mr and Mrs, they were met with a glass of bubbly. Whilst they enjoyed their bubbles, the guests prepared for the confetti walk, which resulted in some of my favorite confetti shots!

Portraits at 100 Barrington’s Rainbow Wall

Louise and Joe wanted to keep portraits to a minimum, so we kept this part of the day short and sweet. Whilst everyone prepared for the confetti walk, we had a few portraits in front of the rainbow wall, which is just around the corner from the venue. Then headed indoors for their confetti walk, and shortly after we had their family portraits. It wasn’t long before they were back with their guests, enjoying their drinks reception under the sun.

I then spent some time capturing the candid moments, of guests enjoying the space and having a drink. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and before long it was time for dinner and speeches. The dinner was held in the same room as the ceremony, and with a quick turnaround the tables were ready for everyone to sit, both Louise and Joe shared a speech together, followed by their best friends.

Dancing under a Giant Disco Ball

After the speeches, drinks continued into the garden area, where some of the evening guests arrived. They had no first dance or cake-cutting, they decided to go against the formalities and made it as relaxed as possible, so they could enjoy their wedding with their family and friends. Once the DJ started, it was time to capture some dance moves under the giant disco ball!! Louise had a quick outfit change into a stunning purple dress. I’d been looking forward to seeing the disco ball in action and it made for some great photos!

“I cannot recommend Carys highly enough. She managed to capture our special day so beautifully and the photos were more than we could have hoped for. She really understood our brief of capturing natural and candid photos of us and our guests, and she absolutely delivered! The photo highlights that came the next day we’re such a lovely surprise, and the photos that came in the post were beautifully presented, a real treat for us. From start to finish Carys was professional, calming and friendly. I have already recommended her to friends and family and will continue to do so. Thank you so much, Joe & Lou xx”
