Brittany and Elliot’s Summertime Garden Wedding
In the UK, you can’t legally get married in a family garden, so the day before their wedding, Britt and Elliot made it official with a small ceremony at Chelsea Town Hall, surrounded by their immediate families. It was a beautiful way to say their "I do's" ahead of their unique celebration at home, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it!
A Typical British Summer’s Day
I joined Brittany and Elliot at Elliot's family home where they were both getting ready. When I arrived, the final touches were being added to the decor, which had been moved indoors thanks to the weather. Brittany was getting ready in Elliot’s childhood bedroom, joined by her sister and mum, who had flown in from America—making this time together extra special for all of them.
They’d planned a lovely garden tea party and outdoor ceremony, but in true British style, the weather had other ideas, with rain showers expected in the early afternoon. Luckily, with a close friend leading the ceremony, they had the flexibility to wait out the rain and hold the ceremony outside once the skies finally cleared. It all came together beautifully in the end!
The Sun came out for their Garden Ceremony
The sun finally made an appearance just in time for their rescheduled ceremony, before the ceremony began they enjoyed a first look together before heading into the garden, where their friends and family had gathered. Their flower girl and page boy entered first, scattering petals at Elliot’s feet, and then Brittany joined him soon after. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with heartfelt, personal vows that brought tears to many eyes and plenty of laughter to the air. Their close friend led the ceremony, and did a wonderful job!
Speeches, Temporary tattoos, cups of tea, and Cake!!
The afternoon was all about spending time with loved ones, enjoying delicious food from the incredible Sarah Green Catering. They even had a fun temporary tattoo station, complete with designs that tied into their wedding theme, including a tribute to their beloved cat, Mila, who couldn’t be there. Later, everyone gathered in the garden again for the speeches, sharing laughter and a few tears. Then it was time to cut the cake and enjoy a slice, followed by a round of tea and coffee, which a garden tea party isn’t complete without!
Portraits in the Park and Confetti in the Local Pub
As evening approached, it was time for the next part of the celebration at their local pub. Before heading over, we hopped in an Uber to their nearby park, where the sun was shining brightly, perfect for capturing some fun portraits. Once we were done, we headed to the pub, where their guests were lined up, ready to shower them in confetti—a wonderful start to the evening festivities! Before I said my goodbyes, we took a stroll down to the canal for a few more portraits in the setting sun. We even walked past a canal boat with the same name as their cat—how special is that? I left Brittany and Elliot as they walked back to the pub to enjoy the rest of their night together.
