Hannah & William’s Stunning Marquee Wedding

A bride and groom walk out of a marquee, and are being showered in confetti.

A glimpse into Hannah & William’s Marquee Wedding, which took place in their families garden.

Hannah and William’s wedding is a perfect example of how you can make your wedding your own, and create your own venue wherever there is space, which in their case was their family garden! They held their ceremony and reception in two separate marquees and had a beautiful flow to their day.

Getting Ready with the Bride and Groom

Hannah and William were getting ready close by, so I was able to capture both of their preparations. I joined William first, in his family home where they were putting together their finishing touches. Once they were ready, it was a short walk to the cottage where Hannah and her bridesmaids stayed. Hannah wore a stunning lace dress made by a family member, how incredible is that?

Embracing a Grey Summer’s Day

Despite being the middle of summer, we had heavy rain showers in the morning, but the rain held off in time for Hannah to arrive at their ceremony. Their ceremony was led by humanitarian Tim, who did a brilliant job, if you want to personalise your ceremony, having a humanist celebrant is a perfect way to go. Once the rings were exchanged and they said their ‘I do’s, it was time for confetti! This wasn’t the usual confetti throw, they had a confetti cannon!!!!

The Magic of a Garden Marquee Wedding

Their reception took place a stone’s throw away from the ceremony, so once Hannah had thrown her bouquet, everyone headed inside the stunning marquee, which had been decorated beautifully and was SO spacious for all of their guests. They had a cocktail wall, where guests helped themselves, a table filled with donuts, comfy sofas in the center of the room, a kid’s corner, and GIANT DISCO BALLS, which were epic. Hannah designed and created all of their wedding stationery, which fit in perfectly with the leafy green theme. The speeches took place before everyone sat down for dinner, and then they enjoyed a 3-course meal. It was a perfect space, and never felt cramped with the amount of guests they had.

A Relaxed Vibe continues into the evening

As you browse through their gallery, you might wonder - where are the portraits? Well, Hannah and William requested no portraits at all, they just wanted a gallery filled with candids and everyone enjoying themselves. I managed to get a few natural ones of them together, and at Hannah’s request, we popped out quickly for a portrait with her bridesmaids, but apart from that it was all about the candids. After dinner, everyone enjoyed the donuts, followed by dancing in the evening with a band that really got the party started!

Thank you, Hannah and William, for choosing me to be part of your day, it was so wonderful!

I hope you can enjoy these highlights!
